We realize that entering a new church for the first time can be intimidating. We understand and want you to feel completely comfortable when you arrive. We hope the answers below will relieve any anxiety you many have.
Where is everything located?
Click HERE for a map of the inside of our buildings. We also have greeters that are always there to help you find your way around.
How do people dress?
You will find a wide range of styles at First Baptist. On any Sunday you will find people wearing jeans, business casual, or their Sunday best. We believe that worshiping God with other believers is more important than what you are wearing.
Where do my children go?
If you come to Sunday School, we have age appropriate classes for them! You can find where they are located on the church map or our greeters are happy to show you around.
Then after the music portion of our morning worship service, children from the ages of Pre-K through 3rd grade exit for a children's worship service.
We also provide a church nursery for children under three years of age during Sunday School and Worship.
What is the worship service like?
Our worship is contemporary. We use guitars and drums, singers, and a full choir. We integrate media with our worship services and the words to any songs we sing are displayed on two screens at the front of the sanctuary.
How is the preaching?
Our pastor delivers a relevant message each week. He preaches expository sermons, which focus on discerning what one passage of the Bible has to say about our lives. He likes to tell stories to get his point across and most of them are funny (and in case you were wondering, he rarely preaches more than thirty minutes).
